Graduation

Comments

This may be my ignorance of things American, but what's with the blue skipping ropes?
So, how do I explain the skipping ropes... American high schools have fancy graduation ceremonies complete with cap and gown. Honors societies give out cords, tassels and/or pins to wear. Since they don't officially graduate from us, but from the home schools, we give them a cord in our colors to wear to show their New Visions achievement. The kids, weirdly enough, love them. One of my boys will be totally blinged out with three cap tassels and about 4 cords.

Also, some kindergartens dress the kids up in cap and gown for "graduation." I wish I was kidding.
I want to say something like great teachers make great students, but that just sounds weird. Maybe you get the point anyway!
Thank you Michelle. I do get the point and I appreciate it. Although lots of the good work was done with these guys well before I ever met them.
